Suspected armed herders have k!lled four people and destroyed properties across several communities in Tombu Council Ward, Logo Local Government Area of Benue State. A community leader in the area, Joseph Anawah, said the incident happened on Monday, August 25. “Suspected Fulani marauders at about 15:00 hours burnt down many deserted settlements, including Tse Mku in Tombu Council Ward,” he said on Tuesday. “Two people were k!lled in their farmlands located at the outskirts of Ayilamo settlement yesterday (Monday). They were Mr. Kaananfam Nyamikume, a resident of Tse Jigam village and Mr. Mson of Guma LGA, as well as a medicine seller. “While one Mr. Saaondo Mundu Azaye, a resident of Tse Azaye, was also k!lled.” The community leader said residents, including the youth of Ayilamo and neighbouring settlements, on Tuesday, went in search of the missing persons and found two d3ad bodies near Tse Uza settlement, but the other two farmers are still missing.
